A WISH COMES TRUE EVERYDAY

I got to sing the title track "A Wish Comes True Everyday".  To record in Brian Adam's studio "The Warehouse" was such a phenominal experience. As a music blogger,  I was a bit awestruck stepping into a place where so many great musicians had been before.  To record there was such an honor.   It is a fun and empowering song that I enjoyed performing.  There just might be a music video, keep your eyes open.  You can NOW request "A Wish Comes True Everyday" on Radio Disney.

OPEN EYES

I decided to write a song for my character Abby at her lowest point in the movie. I remember feeling that was as Abby and also as Debby.  I wanted to let her know (and everyone who gets to that low point)  that I understood but that things will also turn out okay.  I wrote the words and the chorus and my brother Chase wrote the music and he produced a demo track in his home studio within a matter of hours. After we realized that we probably had something,  Chase produced it in studio with Matt Beckley.  I incerted it on top of a video montage of Abby's lowest point and my mom pitched it to the producers who loved it.  It went through all the levels of approval and is not only in the movie but also on the sound track that will be available soon. The title is called "Open Eyes".  I wanted it to have the weepy feel to relate to Abby's lowest point but with a hopeful message. It was written to go along with the sad montage and I think I achieved that, but I hope it encourages the audience as well.

My brother, Chase Ryan has one of his original songs from his first EP "Feel My Heart" in the movie as well. The song is called "Saying Goodbye".  He actually wrote it about me leaving to go to Hollywood while he remained in Texas for school. It's got a rock feel and is placed at a significant part of the movie.   All of these songs are available on a 16 Wishes Soundtrack available at Borders on June 22

THE DISNEY THING...

People ask me if I am doing the "Disney thing" and starting a music career.  Any music I do is not because I am a "Disney girl". If  I feel like I can add some value, encourage someone or if I feel inspired, then I do it.  If I happen to fit the Disney profile than then that’s awesome, but I don't do music to fit and image or an expectation. It's simply a love of mine.  I have always lived my life to music, my brother Chase Ryan is a singer, songwriter and is starting to produce.  It’s around me daily.  I love to write and have a few things on the shelf that we may produce one day.  I am creative, easily inspired and find a huge amount of satisfaction from being an entertainer. My goal is to make people feel.  I am blessed get that opportunity through my acting but refuse to limit myself if I am inspired in other ways.

This page is about music that I have been inspired to create or sing.  Am I planning an album? No, I am not, but I am excited to share what I love so much with my fans.

HAKUNA MATATA

You can hear my version of the song on DisneyMania 7.  Pick it up in stores or grab it on iTunes.  Hakuna Matata is my first single available for sale on iTunes.  It has been one of my favorite songs since I was 12 and it was the coolest experience to remake it.  I hope you like it.

COUNTRY GIRL
As Bailey, I sang "Country Girl" for the "Beauty and the Fleeced" episode of The Suite Life on Deck.  It was kind of cool to sing a song as a character.  It's a very cool way to do music and I hope I get to do it again.  You can get the episode on iTunes
